Cataracts

Cataract is a blurred lens of the eye that causes visual impairment. In the early stages, the use of strong light and glasses reduces vision problems caused by cataracts. But in later stages of the illness, surgery is needed to improve vision. Today, cataract surgery is a low-risk and very effective way. The lens of a transparent, unvulverised, lumbar lens with a diameter of about 9 mm and a thickness of 4 mm, located on the middle of the eyeball, causes light concentration on the retina, according to the Health Services Agency of the Iranian Students News Agency (ISNA). The retina is a light-sensitive layer in the eye that receives visual messages.
